A two-day seminar, “Transforming Leadership & Governance,” was held in December 2024, bringing together 80 Ethiopian parliamentarians, ministers, and other key government leaders. The event aimed to equip participants with essential skills in character building, personal life, calling, competence, and governance.

Notably, a significant number of women and younger parliamentarians attended the seminar, reflecting the country’s commitment to diversity and youth empowerment. The training is set to continue with Part B scheduled for December 2025.

Many participants expressed interest in expanding the training program to all 500 parliamentarians, demonstrating their enthusiasm for effective leadership and governance. A former Ethiopian ambassador to the UK was also in attendance and has offered to facilitate the International Leadership Foundation’s promotion of leadership training to the African Union.

The seminar concluded on a high note, with jubilant celebrations, dancing, and testimonials from participants sharing their transformation projects for development in their respective areas of Ethiopia. This initiative is expected to have a positive impact on the country’s governance and development.
