Dr. Valentine Hayibor
Dr. Val K. Hayibor is the International Leadership Foundation’s Executive Director for New York and Washington, D.C. He serves diplomatic missions and embassies in those two cities as a life-long mentor, coach, and consultant.
In 2002, Val earned a M.A. in Governance and Leadership from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), Accra. Dr. Hayibor graduated in 2007 with a M.A. and holds a Ph.D. in Intercultural Studies from Trinity International University, Deerfield. In 2012, he served as adjunct faculty in the Master of Global Leadership Studies program at North Central University, Naperville, IL.
Dr. Hayibor’s research interests include a core inquiry on intercultural leadership interactions in cross-national collaboration, the interface between leadership development and mentoring, and community development.
With extensive experience in Africa, Europe, Asia, and North and South America, including membership in the John Maxwell Leadership Team, Dr. Hayibor adds value more effectively to his work with the International Leadership Foundation. A major focus involves his direct engagement with the diplomatic community in Washington, D.C.
The Hayibor’s live in the Washington, D.C., metro area. They are blessed with three children and four grandchildren.
